It's been over a year since my husband and I visited the Shire in New Zealand. Unfortunately, they did not have any Hobbit-holes for sale, but the trip was certainly memorable.
He had given me a Shire locket (one of his first gifts) and I planned on fitting a couple pictures of our visit into the small openings. But I came across an incredibly talented artist, Khara Ledonne, who makes and sells beautifully hand-painted lockets on Etsy.
I thought I would give it a go! I used acrylics (what I had on hand), a brush that I've used for painting figurines, and a clear, Liquitex gloss.
